The Cincinnati Bengals have signed veteran unrestricted free agent tackle Trent Brown to a one-year deal.
Brown, 30, most recently played for the New England Patriots. The 6-foot-8 tackle gives the Bengals a veteran presence at right tackle. He's started 93 games in his career and has experience playing both right and left tackle. After Jonah Williams hit the market in free agency and signed with the Arizona Cardinals, the Bengals needed to fill the hole at right tackle.
This signing, which was first reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, doesn't preclude the Bengals from drafting a tackle in the first round of the NFL draft next month.

Brown, a 10th-year player out of the University of Florida, originally was a seventh-round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2015. He spent his first three NFL seasons with the 49ers (2015-17), has had two stints with the Patriots (2018, 2021-23), and also spent time with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders (2019-20). He has played in 100 regular-season games (93 starts) and has started four postseason contests.
